Why I built it

I follow dozens of finance YouTubers, podcasters, and analysts. Staying current used to mean hours of videos every day — and somehow I still missed the important parts.

The problem wasn’t a lack of good content. It was too much of it.

A useful market call might be buried 47 minutes into a podcast. Three different channels might be talking about the same theme without using the same words. A speaker might explain Bitcoin, gold, semis, or the Fed in a way I want to come back to later — but once the video is gone from my feed, that knowledge is basically lost.

So I built TranscriptAgent.

Every morning, it reads the finance channels you trust and turns them into one clear market brief: what mattered, who said it, where people agree, where they disagree, and what changed.

But the real point is bigger than a summary.

TranscriptAgent turns the channels you follow into your own market knowledge base. You can ask what your transcripts are saying about a topic, pull together the best arguments from different speakers, or ask how a specific analyst might view Bitcoin, gold, rates, oil, AI, or any other market theme — based on what they have actually said.

Your YouTube feed becomes something you can search, question, and build on.

Instead of starting from zero every morning, you wake up with the signal already pulled from the noise.

The background that shaped it

For a decade, I traded commodities at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in London, as a Vice President running the ETP and index trading book. The job was market-making across the major commodity indices, building custom strategies for institutional investors, and writing the backtesting and execution tools in Python.

That desk shaped how I still look at markets.

I do not trust one speaker. I do not trade because one smart person sounds confident. I want to know what different voices are saying, where they agree, where they disagree, what evidence they are using, and how the broader market narrative is shifting.

After the bank, I traded as a quant at 21Shares. Today, I manage my own capital across crypto, commodities, and equities. My process is still the same: build a macro view, compare different points of view, test the thesis, and use the best arguments to trade better.

TranscriptAgent is built around that process.

It does not ask you to blindly follow one analyst or one channel. It helps you turn the finance content you already follow into a structured research layer: what was actually said, what themes are emerging, which assets are being discussed, where the arguments conflict, and what changed since yesterday.
